v1.2.7 – Partying Capybara
Foundryborne Release Announcement
The Foundryborne team is proud to announce the release of version 1.2 (Partying Capybara) for the Foundryborne Daggerheart System.
Changelog
New Features
- Party Actor: Create a new Actor for your party! Including stats overview, shared inventory and a "clown car" mode to easily move the whole party around!
- Light mode support: In the previous versions there were a few issues with people using the light mode. It is now fully supported and everything is readable, no matter which theme!
- Group Rolls: Full support for group roles, with a custom group roll dialog.
- Sheet display options: If you prefer to have "pips" instead of actual numbers for HP, Stress and Armor Slots (Just like the paper sheets), you can now find an option for this in the system settings!
- New countdown system: We completely rewrote the old countdown system, and the new one should work a lot better.
- Attribution Feature: Added Attribution to system items so that the author and other information can be set.
- Beastform Wildcards: Added Support for Wildcard tokens for beastforms.
- Direct Damage: Direct Damage is now fully supported!
- Auto-Expanding Roll Messages: Find a new setting in the system options to auto-expand dice rolls in chat messages!
- Better Homebrew support: You can now add custom featurs to Weapons & Armor, as well as custom Adversary types!
- Per Scene measurments: You can now override the Daggerheart measurements for every scene individually. Set what Melee|Close etc means on the scene, or disable the system ruler to use standard Grid units instead.
- New Daggerheart Menu: It has a lot of GM tools! Expect more in future updates.
- Simple Sheets: A new sheet type to view actors with limited observer permissions.
- Compendium Browser Update: Custom compendiums are now included in the compendium browser (and are now shown during character creation as well)!
- Better Character Creation: Background and Connection questions are now added to all classes and can be added during character creation.
- Better Weapons: Weapons now can have a custom damage formula!
- Level Up Choices: You can now review the choices you made while leveling up your character.
- Companion Protection Initiative: Companions no longer show up in the combat tracker. They are now save. Please don't hurt them.
- Spotlight Tracker Improvements: You can now see the order in which players requested the spotlight!
Bug Fixes
- Updated all SRD entries to make sure they reflect the latest errata.
- Several Bugfixes & fixed typos, including wrong dice or damage type.
- Fixed the display of chat messages that are not supposed to be displayed, as they are redundant.
- Resolved several issues where effects were not or incorrectly applied.
- Updated the default view of the Loadout and Vault views to List View.
- Resolved several issues with the character creation process, and updated the order in which the characters are created to reflect the core rules.
- Resolved several issues with the sheet layouts so they should look better even with longer names/descriptions, which also helps the community translations.
- Resolved an issue where consumable items were not actually consumed on use.
- Resolved an issue where observer permissions would allow a player to use or edit items on other players sheets.
- Resolved an issue with scrolling battle text to better handle situations where multiple changes happen at the same time.
- Updated the Font styling to be more consistent, which makes it easier for custom modules to override the fonts.
- Resolved an issue where the hope cost for experiences would not be correctly automated in the dice roll dialog.
- Resolved an issue where the description for your experiences tooltip would not be displayed in the dice roll dialog when hovering over an experience.

Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue that would cause data migrations from the old countdown system to the new one to fail in some cases. This should work without needing to go to a backup.
- Resolved an issue where the Countdown UI failed to position correctly if the sidebar was initially expanded.
- Resolved an issue where the Countdown UI wasn't considering Foundry's UI-Scale setting and could become badly positioned.
- Resolved an issue where the Countdown UI would disappear if a user hit Escape.
- Resolved an issue where the 'clowncar' feature of the Party token didn't work properly if you used it on an inactive scene.
- Added a system setting under Appearance to hide the Countdown UI.
- Resolved an issue where editing homebrew Weapon/Armor features showed Downtime Moves as the title. This now correctly shows Armor Feature/Weapon Feature.
- Resolved an issue where the Delete button on Subclass items in a Class wasn't working when the link was broken.
Content Modules
- The Compendium Browser is now checking on certain links it wasn't before. This makes broken links cause it to error out.

Bug Fixes
- Compendium Browser Resolved an issue where entries in the Compendium Browser failed to load correctly.
- Compendium Browser Resolved an issue where the *clear filter* button resulted in an empty list of results instead of clearing the filters correctly.
- Party Actor Resolved an issue where deleting Actors that were in a Party would leave them stuck in the Party list instead of being removed from the party as well.
- Party Actor Companions and Adversaries can now both be added to Party Sheets and have their ressources displayed correctly. They can not be part of Group Rolls or Tag Team Rolls however.
- Party Actor Resolved an issue where the edit and delete button for the Party Inventory were not displayed correctly in some cases.
- Party Actor Resolved an issue with the Hope/Fear automation for Group Rolls. (Rerolls have to be changed manually however)
- Beastform Resolved an issue where the Beastform transformation got stuck on a druid and could not be disabled.
- Beastform Removed the context menu entry for cancelling Beastforms and instead changing the Beastform button to Cancel Beastform when it is active.
- Beastform The Beastform token wildcard selector now has scrolling enabled for cases where a lot of beastform images were available.
- Countdowns The Countdown UI is now hidden for players when they don't have any visible countdowns (this covers both "no countdowns" and "no permissions to view any countdowns").
- Dice Rolls Resolved an issue that could cause errors when making a roll without having a character active.
- Features Resolved an issue where Ancestry and Community Features would not be displayed in the Ancestry or Community description.
Compendium Fixes
- Clarity of Nature Resolved an issue where using a resource would cause an error.
- Galapa Retract Resolved an issue where the effect was not applied to the actor correctly.
- Channel Raw Power Resolved an issue where the ability would have a hit point cost to use.

- Beastform Updated the Cancel Beastform button to work with characters that had a beastform active before 1.2.

Features
- Countdowns Added Countdown Actions. Using one creates the prepared countdown.
- Countdowns Added the looping capability to countdowns to easily notice that a countdown should loop, and to handle it.
- Countdowns Added automation option for counting down on ActionRoll and Fear.
- Countdowns Added a system setting to ignore Countdown Automation. Handy for playing without since the SRD entries have it set up in most cases.
Bugfixes
- The Countdown UI now positions itself well together with the Foundry RCT Webcam UI.
- Resolved an issue where the spinning Loader element of the Compendium Browser could get effected by module CSS to make it spin humorously.
- Resolved an issue where the action button would not show up correctly for all items.
- Resolved an issue where flat value damage or healing actions failed to have their ressource cost applied correctly.
- Resolved an issue where multiple instances of enrichment (@Damage etc) failed when in the same section.
- Actions without a description now fallback to the item description if printed out.
Compendium Fixes
- Updated all Adversaries and Environments that make use of countdowns to have the new Countdown Actions.
- The Druid Evolution feature now brings a toggleable effect for each possible trait bonus.
- Fixed Pouncing Predator's Takedown properly targeting enemies and having it's +6 damage bonus.
- Fixed some issues with the Druid Evolution feature.

- Updated Adversaries with immunity to conditions to utilize the new Condition Immunities.
- Updated all weapons to not send the initial chat message when using their basic attacks.
- Updated all weapons to show the item image on the basic attack when selecting from multiple actions.

Features
- Added Adversary Critical Threshold. If it's set to lower than the standard 20 in Edit mode, then it will be displayed on the sheet and used as the number to beat to score a critical hit.
- Countdowns will now make proper rolls activating DiceSoNice and producing chat messages when rolls are made to determine Randomized Start Values, both initially and on looping.
Bugfixes
- Resolved an issue where right-clicking the Party Token would cause errors in the Party Token HUD.
- Resolved an issue where looping countdows with randomized start values (for example (loop 1d6)) were not being randomized correctly on each loop.

- Resolved an issue where de-leveling a character could get stuck if Domain Cards picked during levelup were missing for any reason.
- Resolved an issue where selecting a multiclass during level up could fail to properly set the selected subclass.
- Resolved an issue where the TagTeamRoll Dialog could get stuck with 'ghost' characters if characters are removed from the party.
- Resolved an issue where applying Effects from chat messages would fail if there was an attached saving throw.
- Resolved an issue with the description of the 'Burning' weapon feature being incorrect.

- Resolved an issue where hitting enter on a sheet with an enriched button would use it.

- The option to drag features between adversary sheets to quickly add a copy of an existing feature to a new adversary has been added.
- You can now right-click features that restore "per session". In the future there will be a "new session" for the GM that will automate this.
- Custom icon artwork for the combat wheelchair has been added. Special thanks to @CyrensMaps for creating them!

- The Feature "Unconscious" spelling has been corrected.

Forge
Following communication with Forge, conflicts that have persisted since launch appear to have been resolved. The system should now download and update normally. We appreciate confirmation from users testing this update.
Bug Fixes
- Disabled v13 waypoints from being drawn while combat is active.
- Adversary basic attacks now display labels in the sidebar, including range and damage.
- Selecting experience increases during level-up no longer causes crashes.
- Fixed an issue where spending and gaining Hope simultaneously could result in incorrect totals (-1 or +1 instead of zero).
- Added new system settings in Appearance Settings to allow Features and other Items to be initially expanded or collapsed.
- Corrected effect calculations to properly use values from the Item model. This fixes issues such as the Barrier item previously adding the character's Tier to armor instead of the Item's value.
- Critical damage calculations have been corrected. Previously, dice rolls were always maximized in addition to adding the dice maximum, resulting in double-counted damage.
- Actor portraits are now top-focused, improving visual layout.
- Removed redundant result text from reaction chat messages (e.g., “With Hope,” “With Fear”) to reduce confusion.
- Corrected downtime refresh behavior to prevent erroneous refreshes of Session or Scene cooldowns.
- Improved Character Creation layout: the top navigation bar has been removed, and Equipment is now the last tab, ensuring it is not overlooked while remaining optional.
- Resolved an issue where activating or deactivating beastforms could move characters to unintended positions on the map.
- Resolved duplication of scrolling text messages (e.g., Hope +1, Stress -1) in certain situations.
- Companions can now level up independently and are no longer tied to the ranger's level-up.
- Removed unintended icons in the Combat Tracker introduced in version 1.0.1, cleaning up the interface.
- Domain cards now display their level in the loadout list.
- Custom Downtime Moves descriptions are now correctly shown in tooltips.
- Improved visibility and behavior of action buttons in chat messages.
- Resolved an issue where ancestries were missing in the SRD Sidebar.
- Item Attachments have been temporarily removed until the backend work to fully support them is complete.
- Resolved an issue where the movement style icon was not being displayed correctly in some cases.
